Description

Native to Australia and Papua New Guinea

Use: The heartwood has low natural resistant to decay which makes it unsuitable for use in outdoor construction.

Climate: It grows naturally in moderately humid to very humid tropical lowland climates, generally best in areas with average annual low temperatures of 18 C to 24 C, average annual high  temperatures of 27 C and 33 C and annual rainfall of 1200 to 3800 mm. It is also found growing naturally along watercourses in sub-humid areas with 800 mm or more of annual rainfall.
